2013 Complaint Against IEEE to NY Attorney General

Following the negligence by IEEE Corporate Officers (Director Eckstein) the members of the IEEE Rochester Section filed a complaint to the NY Attorney General.  The complaint focuses on the original infraction of Bylaw violations and does not dwell on the negligence by Corporate Officers.

The essential text of the first complaint is available HERE

The Rochester Section had entrenched officers who were flaunting violations of IEEE rules.  In 2012 they decided to spend the Section Rebate ($5000) on a junket to Niagara Falls for themselves and their friends. They then continued violating rules in order to assure their hold on office and control of the Section’s fund balance ($200k).

Director Eckstein could have stopped it with a single email message. I will not speculate on his motives for not doing that.
